It has been a quiet Thanksgiving here. We actually had thanksgiving dinner early because we spent dinner with my future sister-in-law and her husband last night at Whitespot for some really really good food. It’s always so much fun hanging out with them. I kinda wish we hung out with them for longer but we had to drop off my parents to the airport. I am glad though that I did. I miss my parents already. They are going to be away for 3 weeks!!! I miss just calling my mom to say ‘hi’ or just driving over to their place just to chat. Plus this is my very first Thanksgiving without them. I miss my mom’s grand feast when it comes to the holidays. At least there is Christmas! She always cooks such good food during Christmas.

For today’s Thanksgiving Sunday, I just cooked us a healthy dinner and spent the day at home. I cooked Green Gobbler Lasagna from the ‘New Abs Diet’ book of recipes since my fiance is pretty strict about his diet. It is very good though! He loved it and already ate quite a bit of it hahaha. For dessert, I took ANOTHER recipe from the same book … Chocolate Chip pancakes!! OMG it’s really yummy! I’m surprised I never noticed this recipe before! Who says that pancakes aren’t healthy? My fiance was so excited for it. Good thing I made enough batter for tomorrow’s breakfast. I will post some pictures next time! I’m quite excited for it. After all the food, one of our friends came over to hang out so it was nice to have some company. We are going to be watching the 4th Season premiere of “The Walking Dead”!!! I am soooo excited! It’s very hard to not to preview it right now because I have it PVR’d. The guys are busy in the garage painting our friend’s car grill and I have to hold off on watching it. I guess the benefit of watching it later is that we can skip through the commercials!

I am so glad it is a long weekend though. No work tomorrow!! One more day of rest!! It’s nice to be able to relax and unwind before having a hard work day again. Things are getting pretty crazy at work since it is month-end. I am really not looking forward to it. Not only that but I have managed to tack on 2 more projects too. I love my job but wow … it’s getting pretty damn busy.

The Walking Dead is such a great show, but we somehow missed the first season. I hope you had fun watching season 4. πŸ™‚ Enjoy your day off! πŸ™‚

Yay! This is an exciting change! πŸ™‚

Wait, why are you Thanksgiving-ing now? I thought Thanksgiving was at the end(ish) of November. You just majorly panicked me, because I’m crashing a friend’s family’s Thanksgiving dinner (as it’s not celebrated here in the UK) and I actually thought for a moment that I’d rudely missed it! :O

Also, Green Gobbler Lasagna sounds delish. I’m even entirely sure what it is, but I imagine a lasagna that slightly resembles the Hulk. I can’t wait to see the photos!

Yeah everyone else has Thanksgiving in November while us Canadians have it in October. I have no clue why but that’s how Canada does it LOL. The lasagna is Green Gobbler because of all the spinach in it hahaha.
