It’s crunch time. Very much so. My bridesmaids has been applauding me for the fact that I have not had any “bridezilla” moments yet throughout this whole entire wedding process. It would be very UNCHARACTERISTIC of me to be one because I’ve never been the bitchy type. That being said, they thought I would at least breakdown a couple times AT LEAST since wedding planning is not the easiest thing to deal with. Well, I had my first meltdown last night. I just started bawling. There are too many things going on at once and I am starting to feel the pressure.

1) Work has been hectic. I am feeling very pressured to get everything I need done before I leave on vacation because I do not even know who is temporarily taking over while I am away and I don’t want to risk things getting fucked up when I get back because that’s a whole other story when I get back. Let’s just say that 2 weeks of relaxation and stuff does come with a price. It’s going to be a gong show when I get back. There’s already so much to do now and it’s always like this on a daily basis, imagine 2 weeks of work that is left alone.

2) Since it is crunch time with only a few days over 2 weeks left before the wedding, I am starting to feel the pressure of making sure everything is done and done correctly. I still have to do timelines, programs, seating charts, contacting my vendors (some of which is taking FOREVER to get back to me), appointing roles, and lots and lots more. I’ve already had a few hiccups in the last couple of weeks and I was not too happy.

3) Home life is something I cannot neglect but I think I kinda have been. I barely have anytime to do anything else. I want to clean, organize, make our house a home and keep it that way but it’s so difficult when you have had a rough day at work and all you want to do is lie down when you get home. But I can only get in about a couple of minutes because my phone is ringing off the hook from family and friends about the wedding and this and that and you have to start washing the dishes that’s been sitting in the sing for a couple of days, or needing to desperately to do laundry and the list goes on.

So I had an emotional breakdown last night. I can’t say I liked it. It was nice to be able to let out some frustration and emotion but it doesn’t really help all that much in the big picture of things.

Some good stuff though? I had my bachelorette party last Friday! That was really fun. We went to a improv show at the Vancouver Theatre Sports venue at Granville Island. It started off as a “Jack and Jill” (meaning my fiance and his friends were there too) but after the show we split off and did our own stag/stagette thing. Since it was pretty clear I was a bride to be (my bridesmaids got me to wear a sash that said, “HOT BRIDE”, and a little veil with flowers and lots of beads and the only one in all white), the host of the show asked me to be a part of the show. So I got to open up the whole show pretending I was a flight attendant (theme of the show that night was travel). I even got a couple of free tickets for having the courage to participate. It was pretty fun. People afterwards were cheering me on and a few even asked if I have ever done improv before because they thought I did such a good job. “You should be an improv actor here!” LOL. Thanks but I doubt I could keep up with the pros in the show. They were hilarious. Afterwards, we went to the Keg, had some dinner and drinks and afterwards they took me to a club. Yeah … I haven’t been to a nightclub in 8 years LOL. I was 21 years old the last time I went so I thought it was pretty hilarious that I’m at a nightclub. I had fun though. My friends pretty much fed me drinks all night long and I can actually say that I got really really really drunk, which I hadn’t felt in YEARS. YEARS! So that was a very very fun weekend.

Another piece of good news! We are getting a new puppy!!! He is a pug x shitzu cross (“pugzu” they call it). We have already named him, his name is TANK which suits a lot because he’s the fattest and biggest of the bunch and likes to bulldozer his brothers and sisters because he’s bigger LOL. They are only 4 weeks old right now so we can’t pick him up until September. It’s good timing because we have the wedding and my FI and I are going to Portland for a “MINI HONEYMOON” and right when we get back, we PICK UP TANK!! We are soooo excited for him. He is sooo cute and I am quite happy that he’s a small dog breed too. It’s been soooooo long though since we have experienced puppyhood so it’s going to be a lot of work but worth it. He is freaking adorable! CAN’T WAIT TO TAKE YOU HOME TANK!!

You’re almost to your big day! I am so excited for you ๐Ÿ™‚ I know it’s easier said than done (espeically since I’ve only started planning mine and its stressful) but try and let your bridesmaids and MOH help as much as possible to elevate some stress. Don’t worry about the small things at home – they’ll be there when you return and not cleaning won’t kill anyone for a month ๐Ÿ™‚ This is a once in a lifetime wedding, be sure to enjoy it <3

Your bachelorette party sounds like so much fun! I can't wait to see your wedding/honeymoon photos! Congratulations ๐Ÿ™‚

Your wedding is so soon! Iโ€™m sure it will be awesome ๐Ÿ™‚ I think itโ€™s fine to have a melt down. Wedding planning truly is stressful, especially if youโ€™re working at the same time. Sometimes letting it all out makes you feel better afterwards!

Your bachelorette party sounded fun! I hope everything goes well with your wedding ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope youโ€™ll share photos later! Iโ€™d also love to see your new puppy!
