So lately I have been obsessed by the idea of YOGA.  Don’t know what started it really.  I mean I have always been intrigued by it but never really got INTO it.  I have decided though to try and actively go for it even though it’s in the comfort of my own home as I don’t have the time to do official classes.  I have apps, videos and I already have a yoga mat so why not?

I guess my main reasons to do it is for stress relief and for some kind of fitness since going to the gym is not really appealing to me (nor do I really have the time for it).  It’s not as vigorous as a cardio workout or anything but I am just liking the idea of loosening my muscles, creating more bloodflow and developing strength.  If it helps at all in losing any kind of weight then that’s awesome!!  I just want to feel like I’m doing something rather than nothing.  I need this for flexibility too because OMG  I am not flexible WHATSOEVER and I have always wanted to be.  I just want to be able to do menial everyday things with ease as lately I complain just going up the stairs and feeling pain bending and crouching around picking up mess in the house because I am so unfit.

As for stress relief, this would the best way.  To be able to sit and breathe and knowing that my body is trying to release negative energy is a great peace of mind.  There are a lot of things going on in my life right now and  I want to be able to indulge in even just 5 to 10 minutes of peace; achieve some zen and actually officially say I can.

I’m going to try to this everyday, even if it’s just a 10 minute session.  I want to have something in my life th at is mine and yoga is the best and easiest way to achieve this.  It’s not just a goal to me.  It’s something I am going to live my life by.  Eventually, I want to do those crazy poses and my crowning moment is the day I am able to do a handstand on my own!!!!

My husband has been doing some yoga too which is great and funny at the same time because I never pegged him to do yoga EVER.  This will help him with his back problems and stress relief too so it’s nice to be able to share this with him.
